N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a sulfur-containing amino acid & is the precursor of the amino acids L-cysteine & glutathione. Glutathione is found in all cells in the body with the highest concentration being found in the liver. NAC also helps maintain good pulmonary health due to its mucolytic activity.
